Unissant announced today the Asian American Chamber of Commerce has named Unissant President and Chief Executive Officer Sumeet Shrivastava the recipient of its 2026 Legacy Award. The award will be presented at the Jewels of Asia Chamber Awards Gala on October 22, 2026.
The Legacy Award recognizes Shrivastava’s more than 30 years of leadership in the government technology industry and his commitment to creating opportunity across Northern Virginia. Since joining Unissant as President and CEO in 2024, he has sharpened the company’s mission focus across National Security and Federal Health while advancing a strategy grounded in delivery excellence.
Shrivastava’s recognition follows the Chamber’s selection of Unissant Founder and Chairman Manish Malhotra as a 2025 Elite Titan Awardee, giving Unissant leadership back-to-back honors at the Jewels of Asia Gala.
“Sumeet has spent his career building companies and investing in the community around them,” said Manish Malhotra, Founder and Chairman of Unissant. “His leadership has shaped Unissant’s growth and strengthened our connection to the region. This recognition by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce is well-deserved.”
Before joining Unissant, Shrivastava served as Chairman and CEO of ARRAY, where he guided the company through its acquisition by CGI Federal. Earlier in his career, he helped lead ANSTEC, the Virginia-based family business founded by his father, through its sale to Keane, now NTT DATA. He later held senior leadership roles across Keane’s public-sector and North American commercial businesses.
Shrivastava is a longtime supporter of George Mason University, where his involvement has grown across decades of service to the institution. He served as president of the George Mason University Alumni Association and later chaired the George Mason University Foundation Board of Trustees. In January 2026, he was appointed to the university’s Board of Visitors. He was elected vice rector the following month and became rector in July.
His commitment to Northern Virginia extends across economic development and community institutions. Shrivastava has chaired the GO Virginia Region 7 Council and serves on the Northern Virginia Chamber board. He has also held leadership roles with the Shakespeare Theatre Company and CRi Foundation.
That service has been matched by investments in programs that create opportunity across the region. Sumeet and his family provided a lead gift to establish Mason’s Shrivastava Family Refugee and Immigrant Success through Entrepreneurship Program, which supports aspiring entrepreneurs as they build businesses in Northern Virginia. The family also provided a lead gift for the Helios Gallery at the Northern Virginia Science Center. As past chair of the Science Center Foundation, Shrivastava helped advance the public-private partnership behind the new regional science center.
