Unissant announced today that its CEO Sumeet Shrivastava received the TiE DC Appreciation Award, presented at the 2026 TiE DC FedGov Symposium. Shrivastava was recognized for his leadership in the federal technology community and his support for entrepreneurship, mentorship, and workforce development.
Raji Bezwada, CEO of JCS Solutions and President and Chair of TiE DC, presented the award, sharing, “Sumeet is the kind of leader TiE DC exists to support. He is entrepreneurial, mission-minded, and committed to helping others grow. His work across the federal technology community demonstrates the partnership and sense of responsibility that strengthen this ecosystem.”
Shrivastava, a past president of TiE DC, has spent more than 30 years in government IT, federal technology, entrepreneurship, and civic leadership. He has previously led and scaled federal technology businesses, including ARRAY and ANSTEC, and has remained active in regional institutions focused on education, workforce development, and economic growth, including George Mason University, GO Virginia Region 7, the Northern Virginia Science Center Foundation, CRi, NVC, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
As CEO of Unissant, Shrivastava has brought that combination of company-building experience and community investment to Unissant’s growth strategy across National Security and Federal Health. His leadership emphasizes disciplined growth, strong delivery teams, and a practical understanding of how federal agencies operate in complex mission environments.
Shrivastava’s civic and philanthropic work reflects the same emphasis on entrepreneurship, mentorship, and workforce development recognized by TiE DC. He currently serves as Vice Rector of the George Mason University Board of Visitors and is a past President of the university’s Alumni Association and immediate past Chair of the university Foundation. The Shrivastava Family provided the lead gift to establish a George Mason entrepreneurship program supporting aspiring founders with practical training, mentoring, and access to professional networks.
